A Complete Response to Treatment

It was a great week. On Tuesday, we went to SLC for Tony’s post-PET scan oncology appointment. A “complete response to treatment” was confirmed. Surveillance mode is activated. He will return every three months for blood tests and clinical observation, with fresh scans in six months. I wish I had taken video of the spring in Tony’s step as we left the VA hospital!

Jacque and Emily took the day off work so they could join us. We tried Korean hot dogs at China Market, which was fun and delicious. 😋 Tony rewarded himself with an almond Danish from Trader Joe’s. We checked out World Market in Farmington and Ocean Mart in Roy before heading home.

I’ve been spending a few minutes daily using AI, and I find it fascinating. Here is a piece of wisdom from my conversation today that is share-worthy…

The old promise was:
“Do everything right and life will be predictable.”

The reality is:
“Build strength so unpredictability doesn’t break you.”

Going through something hard? Give your family one place to follow along.

Telling hard news again on every call and every text wears you out. That's why we made this blog: one place for Tony's story, updates by email, and a simple way for friends to help. I built it with HBA's Funnel Builder by typing what I wanted in plain words. If your family is walking through something hard, you can have a place like this too.
